A rare Psilocybe species, native only to New Mexico from the Hopii Group, that's related closely to Psilocybe hopii and Psilocybe gandalfiana nom. prov. This species fruits at very high temperatures starting around 80F to over 100F in a mixture of grasses and woodchips or mulch. This specific fruiting took place in Wisconsin, in August, 5 months after its bed was created from mixed hardwood mulch. This species may thrive on conifer but its not definitive.
